Sanjiv Verma, also know as Raju, has been volunteering at SAFS for 23 years and has been a respected Board member for the past 20 years. Raju has Cerebral Palsy, which affects his speech and mobility. Despite his challenges, Raju has also volunteered for numerous other organisations, including Oldbury Citizen’s Advice Bureau and Ideal for All, both of which work with individuals with disabilities.

Raju enjoys swimming, sporting events and bowling but his main hobby and passion is collecting key rings! With 10,964 at last count, Raju’s dream is to open a museum to display his key ring collection for everyone to come and enjoy.

The key rings have been sent by various car companies and different football clubs. Friends and family are very supportive of Raju’s hobby and will often bring back a key ring from their holiday or day trip for him to add to his collection. If you know anyone who could donate a key ring, please get in touch with SAFS on 0121 558 2198.
