SAFS is committed to supporting the education and learning of others. We do this in a number of ways:
Internships. Each year SAFS offers a paid internship to students or graduates. This is a year’s fulltime placement within the office team and a real chance to get valuable experience of the workplace.
‘‘I had the privilege of being the first Project Support Administrator at SAFS. Although my degree in English was not directly linked to the role, I learnt lots from the “hands-on” experience and transferable skills through working closely with the Finance & Performance Manager and the CEO; particularly how projects are initiated, developed and delivered to achieve the organisation’s overall strategy.’’
Work Experience.We are able to take young people for school or college work experience placements.
Social Work/Healthcare/Childcare Placements.We offer work placements within our Care Services for University students.
Volunteer.We have many volunteering opportunities available here at SAFS. From helping at our centre with painting and decorating, to organising fun activities for our service users.
